As I have reflected this past week, it dawned on me that even though 2020 has been a difficult year, there is a gift in all its chaos. Perhaps the gift is the opportunity to be the hands and feet of God....yes, I did say opportunity. Perhaps this year is an opportunity to serve. An opportunity to put the needs of others ahead of our own wants and desires. An opportunity to be appreciative for what we already have. An opportunity to serve our neighbor.

So on this final Thanks-For-Giving post, I want to show a special appreciation for the people that Olivet Neighborhood Mission serves each day! It is because of your trust in our organization that we work so hard! We have come to know many of you by name and call you neighbors, but also friends!

Thank you especially for being patient with us as we stumbled through 2020 making changes, often daily, in order to keep everyone safe through COVID and Derecho.

Happy Thanks-For-Giving to you all! May God bless you all and keep you safe in this sometimes crazy, but always beautiful world!

With Gratitude,

Julie Palmer
