Let's all take a breath. Breath in. Breath out.

Now close your eyes, and imagine a starry night, where the brightest of stars is high in the sky, and a breeze is blowing, softly.

If you listen closely, letting all the chaos of getting the Christmas tree up, the cookies made, the cards sent and gifts bought,
you can hear, if you are really quiet and still, the soft mumbling of two adults.

Breath again, in and out. Listening, you realize
it is a man and a woman softly talking.
The soft rustle of hay can be heard as animals are settling down for a night's sleep.

And then there is the sweet cry of a newborn baby.
Ahh, the sweet reason for the wild rushing we all do.
Our Savior is born.

May all your wild rushing slow down during these next couple of days.

May the calm of Christ's birth wash over your tired and weary souls and may you all be refreshed from the knowledge that we are loved by God so wildly and undeservingly. We are his cherished children.
