Food and drink are both essential elements of life and a major component of service at the Olivet Neighborhood Mission. Our food pantry, located at the Mission, typically stocks and supplies foods like:
- Grains & Rice
- Non-perishable and fresh fruits and veggies in season
- Milk products
- Boxed meals
- Daily deliveries of bread and deli items
To receive – Once a month, families may receive a box of food, free of charge, which usually contains enough food for a few days, depending on the size of the family. Families are able to shop our shelves for themselves in order to choose what they most need. Please visit the Mission during our open hours to shop for your food.
To donate – Please drop your food donations off to the Mission during open hours or call the Mission’s Director and we’ll make arrangements. In 2015, we distributed over 190,000 pounds of food purchased from HACAP. And this number only accounts for about 60% of the food per year that is needed by our community. We depend highly on donations to fulfill the rest, along with Olivet Mission purchasing at retail.
Olivet Neighborhood Mission is an equal opportunity provider.
